Four Primaries quick off the mark!

Welcome Back!

As applications for our Primary Awards and Secondary Minor Awards (Schools can apply for upto £1000 in total.) opened this week, four Hertfordshire Primary schools were quick off the mark to get their applications in.

Schools from Potters Bar, Royston, Watford and Baldock were successful in their bids and cheques are on the way!

More information on the Secondary Major Awards will follow shortly.

Have a stupendous summer break!

Edufund UK would like to wish all Hertfordshire's super hard-working teachers and support staff a fabulous summer break.  We know some of you will be still working away for some of August but hopefully not all of it!

We keep an eye on our e-mails over the summer but might not be quite as quick to respond to information requests etc as normal.  However, do feel free to contact us about anything and you can register interest in primary or secondary  awards anytime.  Applications will re-open in September and we will e-mail our secondary and (new for 19-20!) primary registered contacts with news and deadlines early in the Autumn term.  A general email will also go out to non-registered schools (usually admin@ or head@) and hopefully find its way to the relevant person.

Have a fabulous break.

Ashwell Primary School win £500 Prize Draw

Congratulations to Ashwell Primary School in Baldock for scooping £500 in our Register Interest Prize Draw - not bad for filling in a 30 second contact form!

We were very pleased to have over 40 primary schools register interest before the draw deadline.  Those schools now have a named contact who will receive information on award deadlines, competitions etc directly into their inbox before the other schools on our general mailing list.  If you would like to register your school, please fill in the brief form.

Edufunduk are very excited to be opening up our awards to Hertfordshire state-funded primary schools on 8th September 2019 for the first time.  Schools will be able to apply for up to £1,000 for resources, training, outside experts etc in any of our focus areas:  science, maths, I.T. the arts and/or PE.  Do have a look at our application pages for more information.

We wish all school staff a well-deserved summer break and hope to be in contact with you in September.

James and Dylan join the EdufundUK team!

The team at EdufundUK doubled in size today as James and Dylan experienced thier first day at work!

They were set the task of finding outy exactly what EdufundUK is all about....

WHAT WE THINK EDUFUND UK DOES

We think that they use thier website to ask schools why they should get one of the 20 minor £1000 awards or one of the 3 major £10 000 awards: STEM, PE and effective learning . If you do not get an award then they let you down gently.

WE LOOKED ROUND THE OFFICE FOR CLUES ABOUT WHAT EDUFUND DO...

they give teachers mugs and pens and lanyards to children

they drink coffee

for the major awards winner they give them a plaque

they became a proper charity on 23rd jan 2019

they play squash

they give major\minor runners up £1000

WE LOOKED AT THE WEBSITE AND FOUND...

pupils can now get thier schools £1000 by encouraging others to enjoy subjects using a poster and teachers decide who wins from each keystage then thier posters are sent to Edufund UK, who decide a winner from each keystage across Hertfordshire.

Its been a very fun day!!

Primary School Awards

The decision by the Trustees of an expansion into the Primary state-funded sector is backed by an annual sum of £50,000.

As the application process is simple, accessible and quick, the intention is to deal with all primary applications within four weeks of receipt. Provided our criteria has been met, the aim is for Headteachers to have the money in their hands within a month, so that the impact of their chosen project can be felt almost immediately.

Primary schools will be able to bid for a maximum of £1000 per academic year across the subject spectrum of Physical Education, Science, Maths, The Arts and Information Technology. Each school will be able to make a single application for the full £1000 or could make multiple bids for different focus areas throughout the year until they reach the maximum amount allowed.

The team at EdufundUK will be on hand to provide support and advice whenever it is needed and will aim to make the process as easy as possible.

With the full Primary School launch scheduled for September 2019, individual headteachers or classroom teachers can now register their school’s interest by clicking here
